Mesa Aqui e Ali (Table Here and There) is a project I have been developing between Brasil and Canada about the importance of the act of eating together. The project comprises itself of an itinerant modular table that will be taken to different public spaces to offer meals around different food futures related topics and creating a space for conversation and exchange.
Mesa Aqui e Ali is currently happening in São Paulo and has 3 scheduled lunch events for Spring 2026. In the Summer it will be transported to Vancouver, Canada and continue hosting events there.

A first experiment in hosting food events as a form of space activation and food futures activism.
The table was a make-shift table made from long skinny sheets of ply and cinder blocks as legs; carried over to the park by the ones attending the event. Participants were invited to bring their own eating receptacles, utensils and seating devices.
