1 + 1 = 1 explores how bodies relate and navigate. Through the use of exaggerated and unusual objects, the project welcomes the public to disrupt the usual ways they experience their bodies and relate to one another.
The project was originally developed as a performance piece for the WhatLab Exquisite Pressure Residency, with the mentorship from All Bodies Dance Project.
It was later further developed as a street performance piece for the City of Vancouver Community Placemaking Program.
It has also been presented as a workshop for the Creative Processes class at Emily Carr University. And it is currently being developed for a dance performance in collaboration with the Ready Dance program by All Bodies Dance Project.
